I want it because I plan to study in the US. You can only lose natural born Canadian citizenship if you formally renounce it at a Canadian Embassy. And to me, that is heartbreaking. I am Canadian, and wish to be an American citizen as well. But I think it’s more important that I work hard to become an American so I can participate in the next election.I love living in the U.S.
