Bowline uses less line*, maybe more compact, and might be easier to untie, and has a working end that emerges inside the loop.

When it comes to knots I always feel dyslexic.
I've never used the perfection loop for climbing as it never has any mention, I do use it often for fly fishing. It is the easiest way to make a small loop in the end of a leader or tippet that will lie perfectly in line with the standing end.

When you load and unload it won't work itself undone like a bowline can. I rejected figure-eights ages ago because of their ability to jam, and whether the Angler's loop is any harder to untie is an interesting question.

Works on both light and heavy mono and fluorocarbon lines. The Perfection Loop is a good knot to tie thick stiff 175# - 400# mono to big live bait 9/0 or circle 14/0 hooks for large bait, chunk rigs, and kite leaders. But I played around with the knot in climbing rope materials out of curiosity. But like other fishing knots, "untieability" is not a required feature, and the knot can be very hard to undo after loading, which is why I ultimately went back to the bowline.
