The ROUBX look like a great road disc option for 28mm tyres, the 31mm width should provide a nice aero transition from tyre to wheel.

TOKEN builds high quality cycling products to suit all kinds of riders - wheels, bottom brackets, hubs, headsets & more.

Initially I was underwhelmed with the wheels. Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Touren TR9 3190 Black Wheel with Machined Face (16x7"/10x100mm) at Amazon.com. Rather than shying away from the fact that the Token C45 R wheelset is machine built, Token celebrates this as it believes it does away with human error. As a lover of practicality, I was pleased to see a set of bike shop-friendly Aero J-bends used. hubs are very smooth, especially with the ceramic bearings. These are great race wheels.

$800 for 50mm carbon rimmed, ceramic bearing, CX-ray bladed spokes, tubular wheels?

Ican's Aero 50 Carbon wheelset is one of the cheapest budget carbon options.

I've used these only for racing and have been very pleased. Take them into their comfort zone of fast Sunday rides and racing and you definitely won't be disappointed.Excellent quality full-carbon clinchers with modern design and specs that deliver a great package for the priceFor the distance they have done over a multitude of road (and mild off-road) surfaces, plus everything from baking sun to monsoon-like rain, they still look like new, the bearings as smooth now as when out of the box.Taking them out of the box when they arrived, I was immediately impressed with the look and finish of the wheels, the matt black with subtle highlights and logos giving a stealthy look.On the other side, the super-smooth bearings and stiff construction made for a very controlled descent, inspiring confidence (in part to the rubber) on the twistier sections. On the flatter, faster days the wheels came into their own, being designed for quicker riding where the aerodynamic profile and rim width properties work best. I bought these as a cheap replacement for the terrible Superteam brake pads that are shipped with new wheels. Fortunately I did not rush to judgement because it seemed that around the 400 mile mark the wheels became "broken in" and came into their own. Token believes these premium bearings provide a higher standard than average steel bearings, running smoother for longer and being suited to all-condition rides. The Token C45 wheels offer both Campag and Shimano cassette compatibilityAs mentioned above, the rim design makes for a plump tyre pairing and in order to even get the wheels in my bike I had to fully let my brake cable though and have the brake calipers wide open, and that was with 20psi in my tyres below the maximum inflation. I’ve been waiting for someone to release a more affordable option to the ENVE 4.5 AR’s.Get Bikerumor’s top stories delivered straight to your inbox every week! The wheels also feature their Z1 hubset which has been designed with wider flanges and bearing spacing for a better performing wheel.

Weight capacity: The bike can carry about 120kgs. This review is for the C50A model with Pillar Aero spokes (the newer ones apparently have Sapim CX-Rays) and the non-ceramic hubs.
