I bought melted coral and I did a thin swatch on my arm and it was glossy at first but then dried down matte ( I was surprised because it is obviously supposed to be very glossy and almost wet looking).

I've noticed they are not required to put some fine print in the ad now saying the model is wearing lash enhancers.

This probably isn't all that bad of a product, but if it were correctly portrayed as a matte high-pigment lip stain rather than a glossy liquid, the right expectations would have been set and there wouldn't be these complaints! I'm not a gloss/stain person at all, but I was really looking forward to these.
I will probably just use my clear lip gloss to add shine on top. Like the Mascara ads when you can clearly see the model or celeb is wearing falsies. I hate how cosmetics companies are allowed to photograph models in an ads for products that are not actually wearing the product that is being advertised. I think the stains that do feel really dry after application stay on much better though.
This seems to be the same as other matte lipsticks I own.Liquid lipsticks and chubby pencils galore, nothing is unique these days. But I fell in love with these right away and had to have them. "If they are supposed to be like that I am totally ok with that, but in the advertisement they show them almost drenching so I am just confused why it doesn't look the same when you put it on. Here is the swatches and one of the looks with the melted lipsticks. Eeek, Too Faced definitely screwed up the marketing campaign on this one!

It is more of a matte color that is highly pigmented. Maybe it's just me, but the ruby shade looks much more pink, like a darker version of the fuchsia, than a red? Too Faced lipsticks come in shades from the nudest of nude, sweetest of pink, to the sexiest of reds.
