Almost everything I got to see there was Japanese and Korean, even though it seems Chinese in general. There's a new M2M near the NYU campus, on what I think is Waverly Place (but might be a street parallel to it).Westchester (mostly the region between Bronxville and Hartsdale) has a decent sized Japanese ex-pat community. This is a sushi caterer and fish monger, not a sit down sushi restaurant.The last i go there, the store was not open. FUJII Yasuhiro, who ran the Broadway store, tried valiantly to get Mitsuwa (the parent company of JAS Market) to let him take over the store independently with a partner, but it seems in the end he was not successful.There is another Fuji Mart, a small store, but stocks all the necessary Japanese grocery, vegetable and sea food.Now if only an Asian market would open up in Glen Cove, we have plenty of empty stores.
