Not so long ago, Hurd was a five-star running back recruit from the state of Tennessee who decided to stay in-state and become a Volunteer. Hurd’s stock was on the rise. Seems like a guy Shanahan will utilize at some point but I doubt he ever becomes more than a wr2 at most. In his three seasons as a Volunteer, Hurd was listed as a running back and totaled 2,635 rushing yards on 589 carries. He will never play RB for any reason.I drafted him too but Have tempered expectations. The 2020 3rd is as big of a crap shoot as Hurd is, so I’d hold Hurd until he at least appears to have a path to some touches.I currently do not have Hurd ranked inside my top 200 in my dynasty rankings, and I don’t plan on adding him anytime soon.His rookie season with San Francisco was likely to be little more than a developmental one–not much more than that based on the Niners depth chart and the opportunities in his game noted above. it really helps the site grow!
