And that’s the method behind the madness when it comes to the order of who’s viewed your Instagram Stories.
That would then better enable Instagram's algorithm to understand what you want to see on the platform, improving the user experience - but it also seems to go somewhat against the past social media ethos of getting users to follow as many people and profiles as possible, in order to keep their content stream flowing. The free newsletter covering the top industry headlinesThere's no word on whether this test will ever go live, and no word from Twitter either as to the results of its initial tests. But while they let people interact with their followers at the moment and share snippets of daily life with the click of a button, there’s still one thing that’s puzzling Insta users when it comes to the platform’s newest feature. This is interesting - according to a new discovery by reverse engineering expert Jane Manchun Wong, Instagram is testing out a new process which would categorize your 'Following' list into both topic categories and listings based on your engagement with each, in order to help users better manage what content appears in their main feed. I know it used to be chronological order of when they followed the person but now it seems to mix up. There's always a few random ones at the top, and then it starts with numbers, a, b, c, etc.I think it's changed. I've done some creepin and noticed this too, lol.I think their in chronological order. Stalking on Instagram is going to change forever. Mine shows recent followings at the top. Following refers to the list of users that you follow on Instagram; these users’ posts appear on your feed, and you have access to view their profile if you want. for ex: Instagram user wants to hide their followers & the following list on Instagram so that no one can view it. You can direct message these users, but if they do not follow you back they may have to approve the message before responding. And they are showing near the top of the list as if he interacted or followed them recently.
And they are showing near the top of the list as if he interacted or followed them recently. If it's weird and random accounts, your friend is probably following random people and hoping they follow back to gain followers. Okay good to know i'm not the only one! i just found out one of my friends who follows about 300 people follows some pretty weird accounts.
Instagram totally revamped its search function last year, and soon they might be bringing another change that will majorly upgrade the way you search on the app..
i just found out one of my friends who follows about 300 people follows some pretty weird accounts. Just wondering if you knew how the "following" tab of instagram is ordered? Okay, so you now have a brand new account and need to build that initial momentum and get followers on Instagram. It seems like my first followers are at the bottom of my page, and the first people I followed are also at the bottom.I checked on one of the oeople i follow and im nearly at the very bottom, what does that mean? It's random but sometimes I've noticed that the first one or two people on my list have just followed meHaha! That's also made it harder for some of the social media 'gurus' of the initial wave to build their presence on Instagram - in the past, you could 'follow for follow' your way to a massive audience, but on Insta, it's not as easy.As you can see in the screenshots above, the option would automatically sort your following list into topics, like 'Art', 'Comics' and 'Travel'. It isn't alphabetical, but it doesn't make sense to be in order of when he followed them either, because my account is showing near the bottom of his "following" list, and people I KNOW he followed long before me are showing above me on the list. Does it have any sense to it? Instagram is testing a new search bar that'll let you search a specific person's followers, as well as who they're following. Any help would be great!Mine always goes the most recent 10-15 followers, then alphabetical.I think it depends how old your account is.
E very Instagrammer wants to maintain some privacy on their Instagram account.
I was thinking that as well, it seems messed up O_ODrag your photos to change their order.Just wondering if you knew how the "following" tab of instagram is ordered? Instagram is removing its Following tab, a feature that became better known as a stalking tool than one to aid with new account discovery, as the company had intended. But it seems like a positive addition - so long as users are aware of its utility.
