The first swipe pumped up the volume on my straight, wispy lashes that point downward and separated them perfectly. The ingredient description on the web site doesn't list carmine and the product is listed as vegan. I wanted to order the purple after I got the red if I liked the quality. Don't waste your money.I love a brown mascara as it looks more natural on my light features - it's nice to have a true brown and not "black-brown." It's slightly water resistant, but if you cry it will most likely be gone once you calm down. Good coverage for a cheap price. The wand wasn't my favorite because it doesn't allow u to get the full lash. I don't like to put eyeshadow under my eyes, so adding one of these mascaras really helps give me the oomph I need to the lower lashes. My favorite mascara is the It Cosmetics Superhero lash, but this is a good alternative for when I'm tight on cash. I need to constantly clean it up all day. For the price, it's decent and I'd probably buy it again.Doesn't come with much product and the wand doesn't apply well with the consistency of the product, the brown color is nice though. If you go in with too much it will clump up immediately. Didn't give length and the red was stubborn to show. I had been looking for the best colorful mascara and THIS IS IT!Pretty dry when I first used it and took a couple layers for anything to show up. This newer company has taken social media by storm with a variety of fabulous products; at a very reasonable price. Some of the other colors pop more but even then the quality is compromised for the color.This product is dry and any bit of moisture it runs.I loved how it made my lashes look but it will smudge on your lower lash line even though you don't apply nothing on your lower lashes and without any type of moisture. I'm surprised by the negative reviews because I haven't had problems with smudging or flaking (two things my oily, hooded, down-turned eyes are particularly prone to), but that's makeup for you. It rubbed off on my eyes so I looked like a raccoon and there was flakes everywhere. That being said, I like these and will continue to buy them (if they don't discontinue them). I have noticed it will leave some black specks on my eyeshadow or eyelid if wearing alone. How ColourPop managed to sell a mascara this good for just $8, I'll … The concaved middle of the brush does not reach my lashes like the edges do, so the application is difficult. However it's not waterproof which is my biggest issues with it. This mascara does a good job of building up some volume and visibility, but does not help keep a curl. I like the shape of the brush (similar to Too Faced Better Than Sex and Loreal Lash Paradise), but I don't feel like it picks up enough product and I have to put on a bunch of layers.
