Works fine now. Repeat the above steps for any additional cameras. 4. Name and position your camera then tap the snapshot. Does this arm the whole system leaving cameras A & B motion detection disabled?Actually, this is exactly what you need to turn on to make it work. Currently the system is WiFi only. It just depends upon the speed of your sync module. However, after the error window appears and before dismissing it, the app displays, “camera added”. One log entry:The blink sync module can only accept one command at a time, so you disarm say 5 cameras it will only accept 1 command, the remaining 4 are queued and retried at 5 second intervals until they all execute.
Both battery powered.I suspect they mean the cameras communicate to the Sync Module wirelessly, not WiFi.Well it worked yesterday for about 4 hours and everything is erratic again. I have noticed that the motion/LED module flickers at night even if the camera is disabled so maybe it has the capability to act as a motion sensor while it is not enabled. I also have an “Auto-Arm” and “Auto-Disarm” routine that arms/disarms the sensor based on motion in the house (upstairs motion disarms the SHM before I get downstairs where the main sensors will trigger the alarm). You can independently control the modes (arm/stay/disarm) via the SmartApp options. Not sure if your retry delay is set to increase or notIn the Blink app, I would go into each camera’s setting and turn OFF Motion Detection Enable for cameras A & B, while turning ON Motion Detection Enable for cameras C, D, & E. When I “Arm” the Blink system from within the Blink app, cameras A & B are not armed for motion detection (the running man is grayed out) while cameras C, D, & E are armed for motion detection (running man is green).I think I may be making this more difficult then it is, but it seems confusing for some reason. But you can always reset the whole system but relogging into Blink again by going to Smartapp, clicking on the Blink Camera Manager and clicking done and it should refresh. Also, I have more logs I can message you if you want them.I was playing around with it this morning. Blink is the completely wireless home security camera that sends motion-activated alerts & HD video to your smartphone for just $99. The mobile app has contact customer service choice in the menu bar. You will need the serial # of the camera so have that handy. But I suspect that is related to all the “known issues” with SHM and the platform.
6. The other one is inside and is not set up for notification as my dog would probably set it off all the time.I want to use the better way as recommended to toggle the arm/disarm switch instead of arming/disarming each individual camera:Would I simply edit the Routine to turn on one of my Blink cameras? You could try unplugging the sync module, wait 15 seconds and replug. I have sent an email to Blink and have yet to hear their response.
