Christians also use the keys to judge the teaching of their pastors and teachers; they are to beware of false prophets (Matthew 7:15-16, 1 John 4:1, 2 Timothy 3:16).The church is free to divide the labors of the pastoral office among qualified men (1 Corinthians 1:17, 1 Corinthians 12:4-6). While every incumbent of this office must be qualified for a full use of the keys, not every incumbent must be responsible for full use of the keys. Missionary, assistant pastor, professor of theology, synod president (who supervises doctrine in the church), and chaplain are some examples of this.We teach that men cannot be justified before God by their own strength, merits or works, but are freely justified for Christ’s sake through faith, when they believe that they are received into favor and that their sins are forgiven for Christ’s sake, who by His death, has made satisfaction for our sins. May this happen in such a way that leaders will not only be trained to faithfully exegete Scripture and wisely apply it in African contexts, but will become trainers of others, who will train others, who will train others… word, praying for life of the Church and the world, giving thanks, sharing communion and being sent out for the work of loving and serving God.12 Ideally there should be a diversity of ministry to effect a worthy celebration of God’s word. (Matthew 24:14) JESUS SAID, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Ministry of the Word. This faith God accounts as righteousness in His sight, Rom. In Acts 6:1–6 the Greek-speaking Jewish widows were being overlooked in the daily distribution of food. “That we may obtain this faith, the office of teaching the Gospel and administering the sacraments was instituted” (AC V). We reject the teaching that only those qualified to carry out a full use of the keys are in the Public Ministry.12. “By human right” refers to those things neither commanded nor forbidden by God which Christians may arrange according to their needs and circumstances (Acts 6:1-7, 15:22-29, 4:32, 5:29, 1 Cor 3:21, 22, 14:40, Gal 5:1)5. The Ordained Minister of the Word program is a rigorous study program which requires students to complete the classes of the Bachelor of Ministry degree.
