I certainly haven’t had issues of mugs sliding around.

I was wondering if anyone knew what settings made up the "Gold" option on the Breville Precision Brewer? I bought the one with the glass carafe.I really wanted to like the Breville because I am a geek for tech and precision control.

On one hand, the Breville is super customizable and easy-to-use, while the Bonavita is almost as versatile at half the cost.

Hah! The Breville Precision Brewer Thermal BDC450 is widely considered to be a great Drip Coffee Maker at its $310 budget. Cone Filter Basket Insert 2-8 Cups.
The vibration from the pump made my mugs slide off the bottom plate numerous times resulting in coffee pouring everywhere. This is our 4th brewer in 5 years. I'm not proud of this.I returned mine.

Are all the menu settings great to have, or do they make simple things complicated?Second, thank you for taking the time to write on such an old thread.so 2 out of 2 units failed for you after a week of using.Just curious, what is so bad about it not draining all of the water?Edit: Just so we are clear, Ninja Coffee Bar is horrible and it is a waste of money. That being said, when I try to brew 30, or 40 ounce servings, it simply doesn’t open to allow water to pas through the coffee and drip out. The Breville Precision Brewer is the world's first 12-cup drip coffee maker precise enough to deliver craft filter brewing, automatically.
So I thought I would buy this Precision Brewer....big mistake! Dual filter baskets. I want something that's going to closely replicate my go-to V60 method so I don't have to get up 10 minutes earlier to do so in the mornings. The pump is the same one from one of their espresso machine models. The Breville Precision Brewer™ is the only coffee machine to offer both. mr_saturn wrote: ↑ I actually just returned a Moccamaster because I couldn't justify the $300+ price tag for a brewer that hits a light roast with the same process as a dark roast. I’m not sure how you will manage that without compromising on the freshly ground beans in any case. I bought the Moccamaster for my wife, and we've been enjoying it for two weeks. Occasionally, we will use our manual pour over for coffee, but we really just enjoy having a brewer to do this for us. I have a Behmor Connected that I got for a relatively good price at the time, but the Breville has a bigger brewing capacity (12-cups/60 oz) and seems to have the customization that I hoped the Behmor would eventually have.Is the coffee hot enough once brewed.
